What you've all been waiting for....

So, a month or so ago I went home to Brownwood to see my Tu-Tu in a beauty pageant. We had a great time. My cousin, Holly, came down the night before and I was able to hang out with her. We got to catch up and take TuTu to dinner. The next day we were in pageant mode. TuTu was a nervous wreck. Since TuTu sings about like me, singing for her talent was OUT OF THE QUESTION. Yes, there was talent... but thankfully, no swimsuits :). Luckily, my TuTu's great-niece, Gina, teaches drama. She helped TuTu get together a "skit" for her talent. TuTu's partner was Gina's husband. I think they had a good time!
Anyway, TuTu didn't win the pageant. She won Ms. Congeniality, which just pissed her off. She pretends the whole thing was a terrible experience, but we all know she had a good time! I think she looks pretty good for 76 years old.... and still doesn't color her hair!!!
TuTu as a Spartan... kind of hard to hear

TuTu being escorted by Tye (Chancy's husband)

Some of the ladies

The girls... Chancy, Calli, Holly, TuTu, Jeri Lyn, me and Shelbi

TuTu and her sons... Jerry Don and Mike
I'll have a post from this weekend soon... I'm still waiting on some pics. Happy Tuesday!

I used to be cute... kind of....

I went home last weekend for my mom and her friends garage sale. I'd like to say it was a great time, but honestly, it was hot and tiring. But, my sister and I went through some old pictures. It was fun to look back at "the good ole days." Most people look through albums or scrapbooks, but not our family... we dig through a 40 gallon trash can full of 30 years worth of pictures...me and jeri lyn (i'd kill for that bronco now)
wasn't I a doll???
who didn't love the 80's wear??
on vacae. i'm sure somewhere historical.

Even in '85 I was a poser.

apparently the judges thought someone was cuter than me... i don't believe it- clearly i didn't believe it back then, either.

Happy Fourth everyone!! I hope to be on the lake tomorrow... the one day I won't pray for rain.
